Job summary

Centro de la Familia is seeking an energetic Center Aide to support in the classroom under the Education Specialist. You will help maintain a safe, engaging environment and contribute to health, safety, and school readiness for young learners.

The role may involve multiple locations within the center and collaboration with teachers. The position welcomes candidates with enthusiasm for working with children, including those with special needs and limited English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and eager to work with young children.
• Comfort with lifting, floor activities, and varied classroom duties.
• Proficiency in English; Spanish is a plus and bilingual support is valued.
• CPR/First Aid and Food Handler permits preferred or obtainable within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide support in the classroom under guidance of the Education Specialist.
• Supervise children to ensure safety in classroom and play areas.
• Assist with health, safety, and school readiness activities.
• Support transportation, kitchen operations, family services and developmental activities.
• Collaborate with teachers to implement developmentally appropriate curriculum.
• Engage with children to promote physical, social-emotional, and language development.
• Foster inclusive learning and support dual-language learners when possible.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the classroom.
