Job summary

Service Corporation International seeks an experienced Cemetery Maintenance Supervisor in the Piedmont, SC area. The role oversees operations of multiple cemeteries, ensuring safety, quality, and customer satisfaction while managing budgets and capital projects.

You will lead a team, coordinate staffing, supervise grounds, and collaborate with home office on capital expenditures. A strong focus on regulatory compliance and cost control is essential to maintain premier cemetery services.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Eight years cemetery maintenance experience with increasing responsibilities.
• At least two years supervising and managing staff.
• Environmental regulatory compliance experience.
• New Construction / capital expenditure developmental experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations of multiple cemeteries; establish and communicate work, quality, and safety expectations; ensure services exceed customer expectations.
• Coordinate staff work and time-off schedules; ensure appropriate coverage and minimize overtime.
• Supervise grounds keeping, landscaping, and seasonal plantings to maintain a welcoming, manicured appearance.
• Identify and implement efficiencies; support change initiatives.
• Source and select vendors; procure and maintain inventory; review invoices; maintain equipment.
