Job summary

State of Georgia is seeking a Cemetery Manager in Augusta to lead burial operations, admin tasks, and cemetery maintenance. You will ensure shrine-like standards and safety for visitors while directing staff and contractors.

Under the Executive Director, you’ll manage budgets, approve invoices, and develop procedures aligned with VA/NCA and state requirements, driving quality and compliance across cemetery services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and two years of related experience; or two years as Cemetery Representative or Cemetery Technician Supervisor.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
• Strong written, verbal communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cemetery operations, burial, administration and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with VA/NCA, state and department requirements.
• Manage budget, invoices, Purchase Orders, and financial records.
• Supervise staff and coordinate with other agencies and contractors.
