Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to perform strenuous physical labor.
• Lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Operate hand tools and light power equipment.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Follow verbal and written instructions.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assists with grave digging and backfilling operations under supervision.
• Prepares grave sites for interments, including markers and lowering devices.
• Maintains cemetery grounds through mowing, trimming, edging, and landscaping.
• Performs routine cleaning of cemetery facilities.
• Assists with placement and leveling of headstones and markers.
• Operates and maintains mowers, weed eaters, and blowers.
• Follows safety protocols for all tasks and equipment.
• May assist in setting up for ceremonies and events.
• Reports equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors.
• Performs other duties to support cemetery operations.
