Seasonal Groundskeeper

Location: Calvary and Resurrection Cemetery, Toledo OH

The Family Environment Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to cemetery and grounds operations, such as setting and installing memorials. The Family Environment Specialist also performs general maintenance duties as directed by the grounds foreman.

Education & Experience

• Ability to perform math calculations and measurements
• High School diploma/GED or vocational degree OR 3-5 years groundskeeping or landscaping experience
• One year of operating landscape equipment and power/hand tools

Requirements

• Valid state-issued driver’s license, good driving record, and proof of insurance

Qualifications

• Ability to conduct oneself with a “Family First” approach and display a positive attitude
• Ability to take direction and work collaboratively as part of a team
• Safety-conscious with proper use of PPE, equipment safeguards, and safe practices
• Follow protocols for equipment cleaning and vehicle maintenance
• Knowledge of general grounds and facility maintenance
• Proficiency with a variety of standard tools
• Understanding of cemetery operations and maintenance
• Basic computer skills

Physical Requirements

• Lift or carry objects weighing between 100-150 lbs.
• Push or pull up to 300 lbs. with a wheeled cart
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
