Job summary

Troost Cemeteries, Inc. is seeking a dedicated cemetery groundskeeper to maintain the grounds, locate grave sites, and support burial services. You will assist in interments and entombments, set up graveside equipment, and ensure markers and facilities are well-maintained.

The role requires operating small motors, lifting and physical work, and adherence to safety guidelines. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are essential for this on-site position.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent or relevant work experience.
• Minimum one year of experience operating small motorized equipment.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Self-motivated, high energy and customer-focused.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Must be able to communicate and understand basic English.

Responsibilities

• Clears debris, maintains drives and walkways, and trims around markers and decorations.
• Open/close graves, set up graveside equipment, and assist in interments.
• Erect tents and arrange chairs for graveside ceremonies.
• Prepare crypts for entombments and operate equipment as directed.
• Maintain and repair cemetery markers and features; service equipment.
• Follow safety rules and OSHA and environmental guidelines.
