Job summary

Drake seeks a skilled Process Engineer to optimize cement manufacturing processes. You will analyze data, troubleshoot instability, and drive continuous improvements across kilns, grinding systems, and material handling to boost throughput and energy efficiency.

The role requires hands-on field presence, collaboration with maintenance and operations, and a strong foundation in process control and engineering analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• At least three years of process or production engineering experience in heavy industrial settings.
• Experience in cement manufacturing is required.
• Experience with kilns, grinding systems and process optimization preferred.
• Ability to use operating data for engineering analysis to drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and optimize cement manufacturing processes including crushing, raw grinding, pyroprocessing, clinker cooling, finish grinding and material handling.
• Analyze operating data, process trends and KPIs to identify constraints, efficiency losses and improvement opportunities.
• Provide technical support to production teams troubleshooting process instability and losses.
• Lead root cause analysis of recurring issues and develop corrective actions.
• Support process control improvements including instrumentation and control strategies.
• Participate in capital projects and equipment upgrades with process engineering expertise.
