Job summary

Ash Grove Cement, a CRH Company, is seeking a plant attendant to monitor field activities and ensure continuous material flow. Responsibilities include safety adherence, inspections, and reporting unsafe conditions in a cement production environment.

The role requires physical work, ability to operate and inspect heavy equipment, and willingness to work rotating 12-hour shifts with potential for additional duties and performance bonuses.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, write and understand warning labels, instructions and signs.
• Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions and tolerate extreme heat and cold.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety guidelines according to plant and MSHA regulations.
• Maintain two-way radio communications with the control room.
• Assist in sampling procedures.
• Inspect and clean weigh feeders to ensure accuracy.
• Observe bag houses to guard against air contamination.
• Walk through preheater tower and kiln areas to check operations and temperatures.
• Inspect finish mill circuit for equipment soundness and leaks.
• Conduct a complete plant inspection at least once per shift.
• Inspect raw materials storage and raw mill areas for guarding and flow.
• Maintain workplace cleanliness and organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
