Job summary

Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials seeks a Process Engineer for our Buffalo, IA plant. You will lead discussions and investigations to improve throughput, efficiency, quality, and environmental performance through data analysis and field measurements, working with employees at all levels.

You will diagnose issues, develop solutions, and support plant safety, production, quality, and environmental functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, electrical, or mechanical engineering.
• MBA or CFA or CPA strongly preferred.
• High integrity and commitment to regulatory compliance.
• Self-starter with strategic thinking and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with non-finance stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal abilities across functions and levels.
• Must be available to report to the site in a 24/7 operation.
• Must pass pre-employment screening.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant discussions and investigations to improve throughput, efficiency, quality, and environmental performance via data analysis and field measurements.
• Provide technical support to production, quality, and environmental functions.
• Evaluate operations and trends using audits and systematic approaches.
• Coach/mentor other departments and improve plant capabilities.
• Monitor KPIs, identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Coordinate process optimization with cross-functional teams to maximize equipment utilization.
• Ensure compliance with MSHA and environmental regulations.
• Interface with vendors and engineering firms for capital projects.
