Job summary

Cemex US in Miami is seeking a reliable Laborer/Serviceman to support maintenance and production activities across the plant. This entry-level role focuses on safety, hands-on work, cleanup, and routine tasks essential to keep operations running smoothly.

You will perform trenching, digging, housekeeping, equipment lubrication, and participate in training; required to have a high school diploma or GED and four years of general plant experience (or six years if joining from outside Cemex); work

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Four years of general plant experience or six years of cement plant experience if joining from outside Cemex.
• Proficiency in control systems and computer applications; strong communication skills; mechanical aptitude and ability to read diagrams; mathematical ability related to production measurements; strong decision-making and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety rules, wear PPE, and report equipment or safety concerns.
• Physical Tasks: Perform trenching, digging, backfilling, shoveling, sweeping, and cleanup work.
• Facility Support: Assist with maintenance work, concrete form building, painting, and general housekeeping.
• Equipment Maintenance: Lubricate and oil equipment; support maintenance teams and respond to callouts.
• Training & Participation: Attend meetings and training sessions. Support other classifications and plant outage work.
• Additional Duties: Complete any tasks assigned by management to support plant operations.
