Job summary

Cemex US is seeking a reliable, safety‑focused laborer/serviceman to support maintenance and production across our plant. This entry‑level role involves hands‑on work, cleanup and routine upkeep to keep operations running smoothly.

You will follow safety rules, wear PPE, perform trenching, digging, backfilling, and assist with concrete form building, painting and housekeeping, with a heavy emphasis on physical tasks and teamwork in a demanding industrial environment.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience: four years of general plant experience or six years of cement plant experience if joining from outside the company.
• Skills include proficiency with control systems, computer applications, and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety rules, wear PPE, and report equipment or safety concerns.
• Physical Tasks: Perform trenching, digging, backfilling, shoveling, sweeping, and cleanup work.
• Facility Support: Assist with maintenance work, concrete form building, painting, and general housekeeping.
• Equipment Maintenance: Lubricate and oil equipment; support maintenance teams and respond to callouts.
• Training & Participation: Attend meetings and training sessions. Support other classifications and plant outage work.
• Additional Duties: Complete any tasks assigned by management to support plant operations.
