Job summary

Cemex US is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Laborer/Serviceman to support maintenance and production at our plant. This entry-level role keeps operations running through hands-on work, cleanup, and maintenance tasks.

You will perform trenching, digging, backfilling, painting, lubrication, and support to maintenance teams. Working outdoors and indoors with exposure to heat, cold, noise, and heavy lifting, a strong safety mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 4 years general plant experience or 6 years cement plant experience if joining from outside the company.
• Proficiency in control systems and computer applications; strong communication; mechanical aptitude and diagram reading.
• Mathematical ability related to production measurements; strong decision-making and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety rules, wear PPE, and report equipment or safety concerns.
• Perform trenching, digging, backfilling, shoveling, sweeping, and cleanup tasks.
• Assist with maintenance work, concrete form building, painting, and housekeeping.
• Lubricate and oil equipment; support maintenance teams and respond to callouts.
• Attend meetings and training; support other classifications and plant outage work.
• Complete tasks assigned by management to support plant operations.
