Job summary

Patterson-UTI is seeking a Cement Operator 3 to safely operate bulk equipment, rig up iron, and manage high-pressure pumps at well sites in Midland, TX. You will use real-time data, perform checks, and drive required vehicles while maintaining safety and equipment readiness.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in rigging up and rigging down high-pressure iron and other equipment.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English for effective communication and instruction.
  • Strong mathematical skills for job-related calculations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Operate bulk equipment, rig up iron, and run high-pressure pumps per designs and KPIs.
  • Maintain discharge iron installations.
  • Prepare cement pumping equipment for the well site.
  • Perform equipment function checks before jobs.
  • Use real-time data and communicate results on site.
  • Drive company vehicles as required.
  • Promote safety awareness and environmental consciousness; participate in quality improvement.
  • Hold pre-job and post-job safety meetings to identify hazards and risks.
  • Rig down equipment and clean up after use.
  • Assist with blow down, field bin movement, and silo relocation.
  • Ensure efficiency and readiness of equipment.
  • Work independently and assist others as directed.
  • Comply with policies and regulations.
  • Participate in safety meetings to mitigate risks.
  • Complete respirator fit tests as required.
