Mortenson is seeking a Cement Mason II to smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete floors, walls, sidewalks, or curbs to specified textures using hand or power tools, floats and trowels. You will work on a variety of concrete projects across our Phoenix-area sites.

This role requires physical stamina and the ability to read safety procedures, interpret specifications, and collaborate with crews. Prior concrete finishing experience is preferred; visa sponsorship is not offered.

Formación

• Minimum two (2) years of related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety regulations, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; knowledge of equipment and their uses; basic mathematical skills (adding, subtracting, division, & multiplication)
• Strong teamwork orientation, positive attitude, professional customer service skills, detail orientation, active listening skills, and effective communication including openness to diverse input and feedback
• Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements
• Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs.

• Level, smooth, and shape surfaces of freshly poured concrete
• Finish concrete surfaces using power trowel, or wet and rub concrete with abrasive stone to create finish
• Remove rough or defective spots from concrete surfaces using power grinder or chisel and hammer
• Patch holes with fresh concrete or epoxy compound
• Mold expansion joints and edges
• Clean work area and restock supplies and materials as necessary
• Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
• All other duties as assigned
