Job summary

ClimateWorks Foundation is seeking a proactive Program Associate to support the Cement & Building Materials Team in grantmaking, project coordination, and stakeholder engagement. You will manage grants, coordinate events, and track reporting in a Salesforce-based system while working across domestic and international partners.

The role emphasizes operational excellence, strong communication, and collaboration within the Global Industry Hub, reporting to the Program Manager.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in a relevant role with strong project management.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Salesforce, Google Suite, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience managing grants or working with nonprofits, foundations, or multilateral initiatives.
  • Excellent written and oral communication; able to work across cultures and time zones.
  • Willingness to travel internationally (~3 trips per year).

Responsibilities

  • Lead grantmaking operations, ensuring smooth passage of grants through assessment, disbursement, and evaluation.
  • Manage relationships with grantees, ensuring two-way information flow and regular reporting.
  • Monitor and support the grantmaking budget and annual planning.
  • Develop/update policies and procedures for program quality and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other teams to improve grantmaking operations.
  • Organize stakeholder engagement groups, including meetings and convenings; coordinate speakers and notes.
  • Prepare documents, budgets, and external communications materials.
  • Share knowledge through written communications and events.
  • Support the Cement + Building Materials Director and Program Manager; participate in team meetings and retreats.
  • Other duties as assigned.
