HII Mission Technologies in San Diego, CA, seeks an experienced Project Manager to provide oversight and coordination for COMNAVAIRPAC and Ships Force. You will direct all phases from inception to completion on CVN maintenance projects.

The role requires leading multidisciplinary teams, interfacing with government customers, and ensuring schedules, budgets, and quality targets are met. A secret clearance is preferred.

Qualifications

• 6 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant progressive experience.
• Demonstrated experience in project management, engineering, maintenance management, or technical oversight associated with U.S. Navy shipboard maintenance and repair.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams performing shipboard maintenance and repair, including maintenance planning, technical troubleshooting, work execution, testing, quality assurance, restoration of equipment and systems and status reporting.
• Experience interfacing directly with Government technical and contractual customers to communicate program status, resolve execution issues, manage changing requirements, and support contractual changes.
• Must have a detailed understanding of applicable quality and safety requirements associated with performing industrial work in a ship repair and shipboard maintenance environment.
• Experience coordinating maintenance activities among company employees, subcontractors, ship’s force, and multiple Navy maintenance organizations.

Responsibilities

• Manage technicians, subcontractors and interface with the CNAP Task Technical Advisor, CVN Maintenance Program Managers (MPMs), CNAP HAB Manager and Ships Force.
• Finalize schedules to accomplish screened work during CVN CNO and non-CNO availabilities.
• Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
• Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
• Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client‑satisfaction goals and objectives.
• Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
