Join HII as we keep the world's most powerful Navy afloat. The Carrier Engineering Maintenance Assist Team (CEMAT) is seeking a Project Manager in San Diego, CA, to oversee COMNAVAIRPAC and Ships Force projects from inception to completion.

The role requires coordinating with CNAP Task Technical Advisor, MPMs, and Ships Force, finalizing schedules, and managing budgets and progress reports to ensure quality and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 6 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelor in related field; 4 years with Masters; or 10 years with HS diploma.
• Demonstrated experience in project management, engineering, maintenance management, or technical oversight with U.S. Navy shipboard maintenance and repair.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams performing shipboard maintenance and repair, including planning, troubleshooting, work execution, testing, QA, and reporting.
• Experience interfacing with Government technical and contractual customers to communicate status, resolve issues, and support changes.
• Detailed understanding of quality and safety requirements for industrial work in ship repair/maintenance.
• Experience coordinating maintenance among company staff, subcontractors, ship’s force, and Navy maintenance orgs.
• Experience balancing maintenance priorities, schedules, and resources to support fleet requirements.
• Experience providing strategic maintenance support including work package development for various availabilities.
• Experience with shipboard HM&E systems.
• Experience conducting shipboard material condition assessments.
• Familiarity with JFMM.
• Expert knowledge of Navy 3-M system.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain secret clearance, base access, and ship access.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain a passport.

Responsabilités

• Manage technicians, subcontractors and interface with CNAP Task Technical Advisor, CVN MPMs, CNAP HAB Manager and Ships Force.
• Finalize schedules to accomplish screened work during CVN CNO and non-CNO availabilities.
• Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and liaison between project management, planning, project team and line management.
• Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
• Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals.
• Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
