Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center's Cellular Therapy Lab is hiring a full‑time technologist to process cellular products for clinical trials using SOPs and aseptic techniques. You will perform quality controls, document results, and support patient care during infusion, with flexibility for after-hours rotations.

The role requires a four-year biology-related degree, hematology knowledge, and strong data interpretation and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree in biological science or related field.
• Basic hematology knowledge.
• Motivation to learn new scientific theory and applications.
• Mature judgment and ability to work independently.
• Proven teamwork and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to interpret data thoroughly and communicate findings clearly.
• Strong mathematical and scientific writing skills.
• Flexibility for night, weekend, and on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Process cellular products/specimens per SOPs for clinical trials.
• Perform quality control tests including automated cell counts and flow cytometry.
• Document steps, generate reports, and maintain patient/donor charts.
• Stay current with SOPs and suggest process improvements.
• Thaw cryopreserved components and assist with patient infusion.
• Meet URD component couriers and perform testing/processing.
• Assist with bone marrow collection in operating rooms when needed.
• Handle clinical trials processing (e.g., CD34+ enrichment, CAR-T steps).
