Job summary

Fairview Health Services seeks a Medical Laboratory Scientist to join the Cell Therapy Laboratory on the University of Minnesota St. Paul Campus. This role focuses on translational activities shaping cell-based therapies from research to clinical application.

You will perform cell processing, QC, documentation, and operate a range of specialized equipment. The position requires independent work, strong problem solving, and collaboration across teams to support clinical production.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate or higher in a related lab field with practicum or equivalent per CLIA high complexity.
• Multiple pathways accepted; transcript/equivalency must be provided.
• Certification by ASCP/AMT/HHHS within 1 year or equivalent may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform cell/tissue processing for transplantation and adoptive therapies.
• Operate instruments including centrifuges, bioreactors, flow cytometer, LN2 freezer.
• Document SOPs, validation, and production records for clinical runs.
• Quality control monitoring of processes and equipment.
• Collaborate with teams to troubleshoot lab procedures and issues.
