Job summary

Orca Bio is seeking a Manufacturing Process Lead on the East Coast to conduct cGMP manufacturing of clinical and commercial cell therapies, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance. You will oversee shift operations, refine procedures for sterile, aseptic processes, supervise in-room tasks, and train staff while driving continuous improvements and proper documentation in a regulated environment.

Bachelor's degree in a science-related field is required; master's preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a science-related field is required; Master's degree preferred.
• 2–3 years GMP manufacturing experience and familiarity with aseptic techniques are expected.
• Experience with cell therapy processes and human cell handling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee execution of routine manufacturing and occasional scientific protocols.
• Develop and refine procedures for cell separation technologies, sterile connections, and aseptic techniques.
• Serve as subject matter expert for cell therapy processes and new technology.
• Provide verification for results and ensure detailed records are maintained.
• Prepare, maintain, troubleshoot, and operate instruments.
• Plan the shift and manage break coverage and handoffs.
• Train and coach employees; ensure quality and compliance.
