Job summary

ImmunityBio Inc. in Torrey Pines, CA, seeks a Research Associate II, Analytical Development to develop, optimize, and validate bioassays supporting cell therapy programs.

You will help operate the lab and perform scientific studies to advance projects in a fast-paced environment. The role requires hands-on bioassay experience (Mass Cytometry, Flow Cytometry, HPLC, MSD), mammalian cell culture in a BSL2 lab, and strong data analysis skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology or related field with relevant experience.
• Experience with immunoassay technologies (Mass Cytometry, Flow Cytometry, HPLC, MSD, ELISA) and molecular assays (Q-PCR).
• Cell therapy experience with NK and T cells is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform cell-based assays to support analytical and process development teams.
• Maintain cells and characterize them using CytOf, Flow Cytometry, and related platforms.
• Develop SOPs, test methods, sampling plans, and batch records.
• Support cross-functional teams to advance cell therapy products and process improvements.
• Design experiments for method development, qualification, and transfer.
