Insight Global in San Diego seeks an Engineering Technician to lead cell prototype assembly builds and ensure quality metrics. You will partner with Engineering, Quality, and Materials to drive CTBs through electrolyte filling, with close collaboration at formation.

You’ll also support equipment installation, SOP development, and participate in root-cause analysis for cell assembly issues, while tracking shift KPIs and maintaining a strong safety culture on the line.

Formación

• 2+ years of manufacturing, operations, or production leadership.
• Experience operating in a changing prototype cell assembly environment with frequent iteration.
• Knowledge of 5S, standard work, layered audits, and basic problem-solving (5-Why / Pareto).
• Ability to follow work instructions, interpret quality data, and communicate issues clearly to Engineering and peers.
• Strong floor presence with bias for action and hands-on leadership on the production line.

Responsabilidades

• Lead a team of engineering technicians through daily cell prototype assembly builds and coach on sequence, quality checks, 5S, and problem-solving.
• Own shift-level safety, quality, and throughput; stop work if conditions are unsafe and document incidents.
• Execute established processes and escalate gaps in process, parts, or equipment.
• Support Engineering by capturing build issues, validating work instructions, and implementing changes.
• Track and communicate shift KPIs (safety, first-pass yield, plan vs. units, downtime).
• Support timely failure analysis and root cause identification to resolve assembly issues.
• Uphold incoming/outgoing inspections and track cell components and lab supplies.
• Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams.
