Job summary

Aerotek in Matteson, IL, is hiring for a Cell and Module Assembly Operator on day and night shifts. This contract-to-hire role requires operating production machinery, packaging, and general manufacturing tasks in a clean, organized facility.

The role involves rotating shifts (6 a.m.–6 p.m. or 6 p.m.–6 a.m.) on a two-on/two-off cycle and every other weekend, with PPE requirements and a focus on 5S. Competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience operating production machinery in a manufacturing setting.
• Packaging experience including preparation for shipment or processing.
• General production and labor duties, assembly tasks.
• Minimum 6 months in a manufacturing role.
• Ability to move and handle parts/boxes safely and efficiently.
• Comfort in a process-driven environment with 5S.
• Ability to wear PPE including clean room garments.
• Stable work history with minimal gaps and prior tenure.

Responsibilities

• Operate production and assembly machinery according to procedures and safety guidelines.
• Perform general production tasks, handling and organizing parts and boxes.
• Support packaging operations by preparing, packing, and labeling products.
• Monitor machines and report issues to supervisors.
• Follow 5S and cleanliness standards to keep a tidy work area.
• Move materials between workstations and buildings as needed.
• Wear required PPE and maintain clean room protocols.
• Work rotating day/night shifts and every other weekend.
• Collaborate with team to meet production goals and drive improvements.
