Job summary

Neomorph, Inc. is seeking a Scientist to join our Lead Discovery team with a focus on cell-based high-throughput screening (HTS).

The position may be filled at Scientist I or Scientist II based on education, experience, and ability to operate independently. The successful candidate will contribute directly to small-molecule drug discovery programs by developing, executing, and analyzing robust, miniaturized cell-based assays in a fast-paced biotechnology environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Biology, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, or related discipline.
• Hands-on mammalian cell culture, banking, and transfection/transduction experience.
• Experience with luminescence/fluorescence/flow readouts and HTS workflows.
• Knowledge of assay-performance metrics (Z', S/B, CV).
• Experience with laboratory automation and HTS instruments.
• Strong organizational, communication, and data-presentation skills.
• Collaborative approach across multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute robust cell-based assays for HTS.
• Culture, maintain, characterize, and bank mammalian cell lines.
• Apply miniaturization, automation, and QC to data generation.
• Collaborate with biology, chemistry, automation, and data teams to plan campaigns.
• Troubleshoot assay performance and readouts.
• Analyze and clearly communicate results in reports and meetings.
• Maintain documentation in ELNs and data-management systems.
• Support assay transfer and validation on automated HTS platforms.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
