Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
• 5+ years of construction inspection experience
• INDOT Certified Technician qualifications (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
• Proficiency with INDOT construction records software
• OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification (or ability to obtain)
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and maintain safety standards

Responsibilities

• Manage daily field operations on assigned projects, ensuring compliance with INDOT specs and contract documents
• Lead, schedule, and mentor a team of inspectors and technicians across concurrent activities
• Serve as primary liaison between prime contractor, owner, designers, utilities and stakeholders
• Review construction documents, shop drawings, and material submittals and track schedule
• Oversee materials acceptance and testing per INDOT Frequency Manual and QC procedures
• Maintain accurate records of quantities, daily reports, change orders, and pay estimates
• Prepare Final Construction Record for closeout and audit
• Monitor work zone safety, traffic maintenance, environmental commitments, and erosion control
