Job summary

Volkert Inc. is seeking an experienced CEI Manager for the Midwest Region in Indiana. You will oversee field operations, mentor inspectors, and coordinate with prime contractors, INDOT, and stakeholders to ensure project success.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering or related degree with 5+ years of construction inspection, INDOT experience, and the ability to obtain necessary certifications. This on-site role offers growth in a top design firm with ESOP and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of construction inspection experience or 8-10+ years with equivalent education.
• INDOT and/or federal-aid LPA project experience preferred.
• INDOT Certified Technician qualifications or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Manage daily field operations on assigned projects, ensuring compliance with INDOT standards and contract documents.
• Lead, schedule, and mentor a team of inspectors and technicians.
• Serve as liaison between prime contractor, owner, designers, utilities, and stakeholders; lead progress meetings and issue minutes.
