Volkert Inc. in Indiana is seeking an experienced CEI Manager to lead field operations on INDOT-related projects in the Midwest region. The role emphasizes managing daily activities, mentoring inspectors, and coordinating with owners, designers, and stakeholders.

The candidate should hold a Civil Engineering-related bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of construction inspection, plus INDOT/ federal-aid project experience and necessary certifications. A valid license and drug screening are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; 5+ years of construction inspection experience
• Experience managing INDOT and/or federal-aid LPA projects
• INDOT Certified Technician qualifications or ability to obtain within 12 months
• Proficiency with INDOT construction records software
• OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification or ability to obtain
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and comply with federal guidelines
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory MVR

Responsibilities

• Manage daily field operations on assigned projects per INDOT standards
• Lead, schedule, and mentor a team of inspectors and technicians
• Serve as liaison between prime contractor, owner, designers, utilities, and stakeholders
• Review and interpret construction documents, shop drawings, and submittals
