Smith Seckman Reid, Inc. is seeking a CEI Inspector in Crestview, FL for onsite inspections to ensure contractor compliance with contract documents, specifications, and state guidelines.

The role supports project managers and may involve training CEI Inspectors Aide. The position offers a hybrid work model with the opportunity to work across multiple SSR locations while supporting client needs and project success.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with four years in construction inspection.
• Technical school graduate with two years in construction inspection; bridge/roadway experience preferred.
• Possession of a valid driver's license and required auto insurance.
• OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification and testing Certifications (concrete, asphalt, soils).
• CTQP Final Estimates Level I, CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level I, CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I, CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I, CTQP Pile Driving Inspection, CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection.

Responsibilities

• Supports work of Project Managers throughout the course of project cycle.
• Records, measures, and verifies quantities.
• Reviews requests for payments and invoices; approval and sign-off.
• Maintains daily logs and field books of construction progress, site visitors, problems and resolutions.
• Directs work and trains CEI Technician I and other field inspection staff as needed.
