S&ME, Inc. seeks CEI Inspectors to join our Transportation team across North Carolina, including Raleigh, Charlotte, Greensboro, and other locations.

You will oversee contractor activities, ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, and contribute to the delivery of essential infrastructure. This mid-level to lead technician role offers hands-on responsibility, potential for advancement, and compensation based on experience.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior highway construction or inspection experience.
• Active NCDOT certifications (QMS Roadway, Conventional Density, Concrete Field Technician, Erosion Control II, Nuclear Gauge).
• Strong English communication and math skills.
• Willingness to travel and work variable schedules.

Aufgaben

• Oversee earthmoving, paving, bridge construction, and traffic control per plans and safety standards.
• Inspect erosion control measures and perform material sampling and testing.
• Prepare daily inspection reports and document contractor performance.
• Conduct calculations and track material quantities to meet timelines.
• Attend progress and safety meetings with contractors and engineers.
• Perform DBE/EEO compliance surveys.
