As the Location Manager at our Cedar Rapids space, you’ll have the opportunity to take full ownership of the location, drive its growth, and continue to develop a vibrant community.

This role offers autonomy, room for personal growth, and the satisfaction of knowing your efforts are directly contributing to the success of the space. You’ll be responsible for everything from sales to day-to-day operations, ensuring that the space is running smoothly and members are satisfied.

If you’re passionate about coworking, community building, and business growth, this is a role where you’ll be empowered to innovate and make a lasting impact.

Why You’ll Love This Role
  • Autonomy: Take full ownership of your location’s success. You’ll have the freedom to make decisions and influence growth in a flexible environment while still having support from the rest of the team in Des Moines.
  • Variety: Every day will bring something new. From managing sales to overseeing operations, planning events, and building relationships, you’ll be involved in many exciting aspects of running a coworking space.
  • Impact: Your work directly contributes to the success and growth of Gravitate Coworking. You’ll be the driving force behind filling the space, engaging with members, and maintaining a dynamic community.
  • Growth Opportunities: As the location continues to grow, there will be opportunities for you to take on more responsibilities, expand your role, and further develop your career.
The Day-To-Day:

As the Cedar Rapids location manager, you’ll work with our front desk associate on logistics and community management tasks, including:

  • Sales Process: Lead the sales process, from inquiry to closing the deal, and offer tailored membership agreements that meet prospects’ needs.
  • CRM & Lead Tracking: Use our CRM tools to track leads, maintain detailed records, and ensure timely follow-ups. Maintain a clear sales pipeline for prospects and manage communication effectively.
Member Onboarding
  • Seamless Onboarding: Ensure new members have a smooth transition from signing their membership agreement to settling into their coworking space. Handle logistics, including office setups, access management, and resource allocation.
  • Orientation & Integration: Ensure new members are introduced to the community, familiarized with available amenities, and feel welcome from day one.
Member Retention & Experience
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with members, providing excellent service and fostering a sense of community. Respond promptly to inquiries and ensure members feel supported and engaged.
  • Community Engagement: Plan and execute community-building events to enhance networking and value for members. You’ll create memorable experiences that keep members satisfied and engaged.
  • Account Management: Take a lead roll in ensuring all member accounts are up to date, handle renewal processes, and ensure accurate and timely information is communicated to the billing team.
Operational Management
  • Space Maintenance: Oversee the daily operations of the coworking space, ensuring it’s clean, organized, and fully functional. You’ll ensure that meeting rooms are available, supplies are stocked, and the space remains welcoming.
  • Member Support: Act as the point of contact for operational concerns and member requests, addressing issues efficiently and ensuring the space continues to meet high standards.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Prior experience in similar roles, such as sales, hospitality, operations, office management, or coworking management is preferred but not necessary.
