Job description

Hours: Part-Time (17.5 hours per week + periodic flex/coverage hours)

Compensation: $18.00 / hour + Dedicated Desk Membership (Valued at $5,700 annually / $475 per month)

MEMBERSHIP PERK DETAILS

Includes your own reserved desk inside our private Richfield staff office—giving you a dedicated setup away from the main community floor to run your independent work or business outside of your scheduled shift hours. You’ll also enjoy full Dedicated Desk membership benefits, including 12 hours of conference room credits per month, extended space access, and full access to our thriving digital network.

WHO WE ARE

We are a proudly woman-owned, local franchise location in our foundational first year. Building a space centered on connection, hospitality, and empowerment, we are actively shaping our community culture. This role offers a real opportunity to help curate our specialty and footprint in Richfield.

While your day-to-day work is rooted right here at our Richfield location, you’re backed by a dynamic, collaborative network of colleagues and sister locations across the broader ecosystem.

Our Commitment to Inclusion

We believe in building accessible, inclusive spaces that elevate independent professionals, consultants, and nonprofits alike. As an Equal Opportunity Employer, we welcome applicants of all backgrounds, identities, and lived experiences. All employment decisions are based on business needs, job requirements, and individual qualifications.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As our Community Engagement Coordinator, you are the heartbeat of the daily experience—the primary face our members, guests, and partners see. You set the tone, ensuring everyone who walks through our doors feels an immediate sense of warmth, care, and belonging.

This role is structured with a clear distinction between your staff hours and your personal space access:

  • During Paid Shift Hours: You are active and present out on the main community floor. We do not have a traditional static front desk—our team is integrated directly into the space, proactively greeting members and guests as they arrive, engaging in conversation, and setting the ambience. A dedicated staff laptop is provided for all shift-related operational tasks.
  • Outside Scheduled Shift Hours: Your reserved desk inside our private team office gives you a dedicated workspace away from the main floor to focus on your own independent projects or business using your personal device.

This setup makes the role an ideal fit for an entrepreneurial professional, consultant, freelancer, or builder who wants to anchor their week with consistent hourly income while gaining a premium workspace setup and membership perks to grow their own independent business.

THE WEEKLY SCHEDULE

This position features a consistent, predictable schedule designed to bridge our community coverage seamlessly:

  • Mondays: 7:45 AM – 1:00 PM
  • Thursdays: 12:00 PM – 5:15 PM
  • Fridays: 10:15 AM – 5:15 PM

Note on Schedule Flexibility & Coverage: While these weekly shift hours are set, we occasionally have requests for additional hours or team coverage (such as evening events, special programming, or team time off). On occasion, coverage requests may include fulfilling a full day shift (7:45 AM – 5:15 PM). We value open communication and work collaboratively on all coverage requests.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
On-Floor Hospitality & Ambience
  • Integrated Floor Presence: Own the community experience from the main floor. Rather than sitting behind a desk, you are actively moving through the space—standing, greeting members by name, welcoming drop-ins, and maintaining a warm, vibrant ambience.
  • Elevated Guest Experience: Deliver white-glove care that makes members and visitors feel valued, supported, and connected the moment they step into the room.
Organic Community Growth (Hospitality-Driven Sales)
  • Enthusiastically share our mission to Do The Most Good with guests and drop-ins.
  • Give engaging space tours to prospective members, answer questions thoughtfully, and invite people to join our community. (No cold calls—just authentic, warm connection and follow-through).
Space Operations & Support
  • Keep the environment pristine, organized, and inviting, with special attention to keeping the shared kitchen prepped and fresh coffee brewing.
  • Act as the primary point of contact during shifts for space questions, basic tech troubleshooting (Wi‑Fi, printer setups), and incoming mail/package handling using the staff computer.
  • Coordinate with the Operations Maven on administrative tasks, meeting room check‑ins, and light data maintenance.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • Rock‑Solid Reliability & Integrity: You value keeping your commitments. Showing up consistently on time, holding down the shift, and honoring the schedule is standard practice for you. We lead with trust and understand that life happens—when unexpected circumstances arise, you communicate proactively and transparently.
  • A Natural Connector: You genuinely love people, possess strong situational awareness, and naturally pick up on how to make others feel seen and supported in an active, open environment.
  • Comfortable with Soft Sales: You recognize that great hospitality is the best form of sales. You aren't afraid to invite someone to join, suggest a membership option, or follow up with a guest.
  • Background & Experience: Experience in coworking, specialty retail, hospitality, or community support is a strong plus.
EMPLOYMENT DISCLOSURES
  • At‑Will Employment: Employment with our organization is "at‑will," meaning that either the employee or the company may terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without cause or advance notice, in accordance with Minnesota state law.
  • Work Authorization: Finalists must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
