Job summary

KBR is seeking an experienced Cyber & Cross Domain Solution (CDS) Systems Engineer to support the Space Systems Command (SSC) under the MSEIT contract. The role focuses on defining, evaluating, and integrating secure data movement and cybersecurity strategies across IL5, IL6, air-gapped environments, and Mission Partner Environment (MPE).

The position involves evaluating CDS architectures, leveraging cloud-native capabilities, and guiding cybersecurity initiatives across DoD environments.

Qualifications

• DoD clearance or ability to obtain/maintain required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field as listed.
• 10+ years in cybersecurity, CDS, secure system integration, or mission assurance in DoD environments.
• Strong knowledge of CDS architectures and secure data movement.
• Experience across multiple classified/mission networks and IL5/IL6 environments.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, define, and support CDS implementation for mission data flows across security domains.
• Assess CDS technologies: traditional CDS, data diodes, cloud-native security, secure transfer architectures.
• Coordinate data movement across IL5/IL6, air-gapped, and MPE environments.
• Identify opportunities to leverage enterprise services while defining new CDS capabilities.
• Collaborate with software, infrastructure, DevSecOps, and operations teams to satisfy cybersecurity objectives.
• Improve CI/CD vulnerability remediation, CVE management, and secure software delivery practices.
• Contribute to cyber strategy, roadmaps, and mission assurance approaches.
• Support PPP activities, risk assessments, and cyber readiness events.
• Coordinate with cyber organizations and government leadership for alignment.
