Job summary

KBR is seeking a Cyber & Cross Domain Solution (CDS) Systems Engineer to support the MSEIT contract at Space Systems Command. This role focuses on defining, evaluating, integrating, and supporting secure data movement and cybersecurity strategies across multiple mission environments including IL5, IL6, air-gapped systems, and MPE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, math, physics, information systems or related technical field.
• 10+ years of experience supporting cybersecurity, cross-domain solutions, secure system integration, or mission assurance activities within DoD environments.
• Strong understanding of CDS and secure data movement architectures.
• Experience in IL5/IL6, air‑gapped systems, or Mission Partner Environment (MPE).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and vulnerability management workflows.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, define, and support CDS implementation across security domains.
• Assess CDS technologies including data diodes and cloud-native security.
• Coordinate data movement strategies across IL5, IL6, air-gapped, and MPE environments.
• Identify opportunities to leverage enterprise services while defining new CDS capabilities.
• Collaborate with software, DevSecOps, and operations teams to maintain cybersecurity alignment with mission delivery.
• Support CI/CD vulnerability remediation and secure software delivery practices.
• Contribute to cyber strategy, roadmaps, and mission assurance activities.
• Support Program Protection Plan discussions and risk assessments.
• Interface with cyber organizations, government leadership, and technical teams.
