Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks a Cyber Systems Engineer III – ECDS to lead the security design and engineering of Cross Domain Solutions for the Intelligence Community in Springfield, VA.

This role requires active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a Polygraph and a technical bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. You will guide evaluation of new technologies, coordinate with mission partners, and mentor CDS engineers while delivering robust, compliant CDS

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as a Cyber Engineer across application, system, and network cybersecurity domains.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain a Polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience.
• Active IAT Level II (8570) Baseline Certification (Security+CE, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with Cross Domain Solutions and CDS environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the security design, architecture, and engineering of Cross Domain Solutions.
• Conduct analysis of alternatives for new or evolving data flows.
• Identify constraints and define evaluation criteria for CDS.
• Prepare complex design packages integrating multiple enterprise systems.
• Update design documents with new information and lessons learned.
• Develop technical papers and documentation on CDS topics.
• Gather and validate requirements from stakeholders and mission partners.
• Coordinate implementation timelines with engineering and project management.
• Provide technical inputs to support government strategy and modernization.
• Mentor CDS engineers and train team members on new technologies.
