Responsibilities
  • Provide mental health evaluations, assessments, and interventions for inmates.
  • Maintain accurate mental health records and documentation.
  • Participate in a 24-hour Mental Health On-Call Rotation.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or marriage and family therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Valid permit or license from the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies in a relevant mental health field.

Ensure your 'Work Experience' section is complete and detailed, as this impacts compensation and eligibility.

Preferred Qualifications
  1. Degree from an accredited program by CACREP, CSWE, AAMFT, COAMFTE, or APA.
  2. License eligibility as a mental health professional.
  3. Experience in correctional mental health treatment.

  • Ability to provide professional mental health treatment to inmates.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Maintain licensure and permits.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations and in challenging environments.
Additional Information

Applicants must pass a background check, drug screening, and meet physical requirements. A valid driver’s license, no felony convictions, and U.S. work eligibility are required. Completion of Department of Corrections Basic Training is mandatory.
