Job summary

TA Dedicated is hiring professional CDL-A truck drivers for our dedicated port and container work. You will haul 40-foot containers from the Port of Wilmington to the local yard or the Chiquita distribution center, home daily around a 15-mile radius.

This role features consistent start times between 5:00 AM and 7:00 AM, no touch freight, and a strong benefits package with medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of recent tractor-trailer experience.
• Valid Class A CDL (CDL-A) required.
• TWIC card required.
• Must meet all DOT qualification requirements and pass a comprehensive drug test.
• Satisfactory driving and safety history.

Responsibilities

• Hauled 40-foot containers, primarily bananas, between the Port of Wilmington, yard, and distribution center.
• Operate within a 15-mile radius; home daily.
• No touch freight and consistent local routes.

TA Dedicated is hiring professional CDL-A truck drivers to join our dedicated division for local port and container work. Drivers will haul 40-foot containers, primarily loaded with bananas from the Port of Wilmington to our local yard or to the Chiquita distribution center. This is a home daily CDL-A position operating primarily within a 15-mile radius of the port, with drivers shuttling loads between the port, yard, and distribution center. This dedicated lane offers no touch freight and consistent local work, with start times typically between 5:00 AM and 7:00 AM. No previous port or container experience is necessary—we’ll provide the support and instruction needed to get you familiar with the account and port operations.
