Job summary

Caleres Distribution Center 2 - Chino, CA is seeking a Yard Driver for first shift to safely move trailers in the DC yard, dock doors, and staging areas. A valid California CDL A and DOT qualifications are required, along with basic computer skills and the ability to operate yard equipment.

You will perform pre-use inspections, report safety issues, and maintain a clean, orderly yard. The role supports safety, reliability, and efficiency in a fast-paced distribution center, with regular daytime

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid California Class A CDL for the vehicles operated.
• DOT medical qualifications and drug/alcohol testing as required.
• Minimum one year of operational experience in a distribution center or similar environment.
• Ability to safely operate reach and clamp PIT.
• Basic computer skills (email, Excel).
• Strong safety and reliability focus.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a yard tractor/hostler to move and position trailers.
• Operate in yard and on public roadways when shuttling trailers between facilities.
• Inspect equipment and report defects or unsafe conditions.
• Maintain a clean trailer yard and proper seal disposal.
• Adhere to DOT and company safety policies.
