Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers seeks a Yard Jockey with a Class A CDL to move trailers within the distribution center yard. You will train with a Professional Driver Trainer (PDT) and learn the C&S Way to complete yard moves safely and efficiently.

Shifts are Sunday–Wednesday, 4pm–4am, at $25/hour. Requires 1–2 years relevant experience, DOT fitness, and the ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures. Training and supervision will guide you through the new hire program.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and Medical Card required.
• Experience maneuvering and backing trailers (up to 53') with a jockey wagon; tractor trailer experience preferred.
• Must meet DOT Physical and have ability to pass drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Drive a jockey wagon to move trailers around the yard, may include public roadways.
• Place and connect trailers to warehouse dock doors.
• Reposition trailers to proper pads and move through wash bay.
• Check and log trailer temperatures according to product requirements.
• Enter yard inventory into the management system; perform pre/post trip checks.
