Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Yard Jockey in New Jersey. This full-time role requires a valid CDL Class A and will involve coordinating with dispatch, moving trailers, loading and unloading, and staging for nightly operations.

Candidates should be comfortable with manual transmissions and have English proficiency for reporting and communication. Schedule includes Tuesday through Saturday, starting at 5:00 AM with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid CDL Class A.
• Strong ability to read and communicate in English.
• Ability to operate manual transmission is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Dispatcher/Router for truck and door assignments.
• Move and couple trailers between buildings as directed.
• Load, unload, or merge loads and stage trailers nightly.
• Set up trailers for backhaul with tractor and pallets.
• Prepare trailers for unloading by the warehouse and ensure equipment is ready for next day.
