Job summary

US FOODS is seeking a driver in Tampa, FL for full-time local deliveries. The role requires a valid CDL Class A, ability to lift up to 80 lbs, and the FMCSA Clearinghouse registration. You will coordinate with dispatch, move trailers, load/unload, and ensure equipment readiness for daily routes.

Qualifications

• Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse.
• Minimum six months commercial driving experience preferred.
• Ability to read and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with Dispatcher/Router for truck/trailer and door assignments.
• Keep assigned equipment coupled.
• Move trailers between buildings as directed by Router or Warehouse Supervisor.
• Load, unload, or merge loads between environments.
• Stage shuttle trailers nightly for shuttle drivers.
• Set up trailers for backhaul with tractor and empty pallets.
• Place backhauls in correct door to be unloaded by warehouse.
• Make sure all equipment is paired and ready for next day's deliveries.
