Job summary

The Home Depot in Winchester, VA is seeking a Yard Driver to organize the yard, spot trailers at dock doors, and move trailers as needed. CDL licensed drivers may assist with offsite moves and updates via a handheld device.

The role requires loading and unloading heavy items, meeting safety standards, and performing daily yard inspections using the Yard Management System. You will report to the Operations Manager and work primarily on-site at our distribution facilities.

Qualifications

• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid, active Commercial Driver's License.
• Ability to load and unload heavy items.
• The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED.

Responsibilities

• 10% Perform general warehouse tasks as needed
• 80% Conduct daily inspections on yard equipment; Driving yard trucks and spotting at designated locations
• 10% Ensure yard accuracy by leveraging the Yard Management System
