Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a CDL-licensed driver in San Marcos, TX to operate a fully automated side loading truck on designated routes. You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, document daily activities, and communicate any mechanical issues to maintenance staff.

The role requires safety adherence, independent work, and the ability to lift and maneuver loads. Participants must have a high school diploma or GED and a valid CDL, with at least two years of driving experience or

Qualifications

CDL required or able to obtain CDL.
Two years of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
Ability to read, write, and comprehend documents and maps.

Responsibilities

Operate a fully automated side loading truck and hydraulic system on designated routes.
Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and daily documentation.
Report vehicle mechanical issues to supervisor promptly.
Maintain route quality and safety standards as per company policy.
Adhere to all safety rules and regulations and wear required PPE.
Keep vehicle clean and maintain interior/exterior appearance.
Maintain accurate service records and logs.
Work independently with minimal supervision and coordinate with the supervisor to improve routing efficiencies.
Possibility of overtime and attendance at safety meetings.
