Job summary

Mid Valley Disposal in Atwater, CA is hiring an Atwater Class A/B Driver to join our waste and recycling team. You will operate a garbage truck, collect waste on established routes, and ensure safety and customer service.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, valid Class A or B CDL with Air Brake Endorsement, and 1 year of commercial driving experience. We offer competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Class A or B CDL with Air Brake Endorsement.
• Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience.
• Experience operating a Class A or B vehicle with air brakes.
• Knowledge of DOT rules and safety practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate a commercial garbage truck on assigned routes to collect solid waste and recyclables.
• Collect materials both mechanically and manually.
• Transport waste to designated disposal facilities.
• Provide courteous and professional service to customers.
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safety standards.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Communicate regularly with dispatch, supervisors, and other drivers.
• Help with special projects, including community events and cleanups.
• Respond quickly and professionally to service issues or customer concerns.
