The City of Beloit seeks a Solid Waste Collector to join the Operations Division of the Public Works Department. You will perform solid waste collection, transportation, and disposal, handling garbage, recyclables, yard waste, and related materials.

Responsibilities include operating automated collection trucks, rear loaders, and tractor trailers. The role follows a Monday–Thursday 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. schedule with a brief Saturday shift about four times per year, subject to business needs.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• At least 1 year of responsible work experience with heavy trucks, recycling, or solid waste equipment.
• Other combinations of training/experience acceptable if they demonstrate required knowledge and abilities.
