Job summary

Republic Services in Springfield, IL is seeking a Driver- CDL (B) to safely operate a collection truck and deliver prompt waste removal with courteous service. You will ensure vehicle safety, comply with regulations, and complete daily VCRs to document conditions and defects.

The role requires a Class B CDL with air brakes, Monday–Friday shifts starting around 4–5 am with occasional Saturdays. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, a 401(k) match, ESPP, PTO, and more, plus a weekly boot

Qualifications

Class B CDL with air brakes required.
Shift: Monday - Friday, Start time 4-5am; Will work occasional Saturdays.
Annual Boot Allowance Paid Weekly - Every Friday.

Responsibilities

Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges and controls are in proper working order.
Safely operate the heavy truck along the designated route and service each customer as identified on the route sheet or by dispatcher.
Load refuse, operate the packer, and dispose of material at the designated facility; interact courteously with customers and dispatchers.
Complete required route/productivity sheets, VCRs and other reports; maintain productivity standards and safety compliance.
Follow safety policies and participate in the ReSOP program.
