Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. in Orlando seeks a professional CDL driver to operate multiple vehicle types on a solid waste collection route. You will perform safety inspections, record keeping and communicate issues to supervisors.

You will maintain cleanliness of the vehicle, follow safety policies, train other drivers when needed and support route efficiency and customer service on a daily basis. The role requires punctuality and ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with compliance to safety rules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED desired.
• Must have a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Minimum one year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• Must be able to meet safety sensitive functions per company standards.
• Must be able to demonstrate the ability to safely drive the truck and operate the equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate one or more vehicle types on a collection route and collect waste, yard waste, or recyclables.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections and reports daily.
• Communicate vehicle mechanical problems to supervisor or mechanic immediately.
• Maintain a clean vehicle interior and exterior.
• Follow safety standards and company rules on operation.
