Job summary

Franklin Logistics is seeking a driven Class A driver to join our team. If you hold a valid CDL and don’t mind 50–60 hours per week, this hourly role offers overtime after 40 hours and weekly pay. You will operate solo, with no hazmat or tanker loads, delivering between warehouses and customers.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight between warehouses, distribution centers, customers, and vendor locations.
• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment safety and compliance.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding delivery status, route changes, delays, or issues.
• Secure trailers and verify freight is properly loaded and secured.
• Maintain driver logs and shipping documentation per FMCSA/DOT regulations.

If you’ve got a valid CDL and don’t mind putting in a solid 50–60 hours a week, this could be your next great ride. It’s an hourly position with overtime kicking in after 40 hours—so your hard work really pays off. Just hook, drive, and deliver—single trailer only, with no hazmat or tanker loads. • Weekly Pay: $1400-1600 (based on hourly wages)
• $2 per hour shift differential
• Monday – Friday, variable schedule
• New, safe, and reliable equipment
• Solo driving routes—just you and the open road
• Receive weekly pay

Primary Duties:

• Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport large freight between warehouses, distribution centers, customers, and vendor locations.
• Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure equipment is safe and compliant with DOT regulations.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding delivery status, route changes, delays, or mechanical issues.
• Perform coupling and uncoupling of trailers and conduct trailer inspections before transport.
• Secure trailers and confirm freight has been properly loaded and secured by warehouse personnel before departure.
• Verify bills of lading, delivery receipts, and other transportation documents for accuracy.
• Maintain accurate driver logs, inspection reports, and shipping documentation in compliance with FMCSA and DOT regulations.
• Comply with all company, DOT, state, and federal regulations and follow all company policies regarding safety, compliance, and operational procedures.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Ability to operate tractor trailers in various weather and traffic conditions
• Strong attention to safety, documentation accuracy, and time management.
• Ability to perform vehicle inspections and connect/disconnect trailers.
• Experience operating electronic logging devices (ELDs) preferred.
• Knowledge of FMCSA, DOT, and Hours of Service regulations preferred.
