Job summary

Pike Corporation is seeking an entry-level Truck Driver Transmission to support construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical transmission systems. The role involves travel to multiple sites and potentially to another state based on customer demands.

Essential duties include stringing overhead wire, setting poles/anchors, and assisting with transformers, switches, and gear. Must be able to perform rigorous physical labor and lift 50 lbs+, with a valid CDL and strong safety focus.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform rigorous physical labor.
• Capable of learning basic line work materials and procedures.
• Must have a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Capable of traveling to different locations as needed.
• Willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction, maintenance or repair of energized/de-energized transmission systems.
• String overhead wire and set poles/anchors.
• Assist with installing transformers, lightening arrestors, crossarms, insulators and switchgear.
• Assist in replacing fuses and clearing faulted circuits.
• Work with high voltage systems and ensure safety of self and others.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools.
