Goodwill Hawaii is seeking a professional driver to operate a heavy GVW truck for donations and deliveries on the island of Oahu. The role emphasizes safe vehicle operation, cargo handling, and coordination with the team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have a valid driver's license (type 4) and a DOT/medical requirement; must be at least 21 years old; HDL and DOT medical card on person at all times.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence; strong customer service skills.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and read maps; ability to present information clearly.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and use protective equipment as required; strong safety mindset.

Responsibilities

• Operate a GVW 26,001+ lb truck and roll-off vehicle safely and in line with regulations.
• Load, unload, secure cargo and organize donations to maximize space and prevent damage.
• Maintain truck logs and vehicle maintenance sheets; perform daily vehicle inspections.
• Coordinate with dispatcher and crew for delivery/collection instructions; communicate issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; maintain safety policies at all times.
• Operate lift gates and other equipment when certified; assist with emergencies per company policy.
