CDL Driver – Lead Heavy Equipment and Material Logistics for Civil Construction Projects

Job Overview

• Company: Pelino Excavation
• Salary/Pay Rate: $26 to $35+ per hour (Based on experience) plus Performance Based Bonus.
• Location: Buena Vista, CO (Travel Required).
• Job/Employment Type: Full Time.
• Project Scope: Commercial / Civil & Heavy Construction.
• Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: Class A or B CDL

You will serve as a critical logistics leader, driving the successful transport of heavy equipment and materials for large-scale commercial civil construction projects. This role allows you to utilize your specialized hauling expertise while ensuring safe, prompt deliveries for a company that values organization and efficiency. You will have the independence to manage your routes alongside a supportive team dedicated to professional excellence.

How You Will Make An Impact

• Execute daily transport of civil construction materials and heavy machinery safely to various commercial project sites.
• Operate end dump, side dump, and low boy trailers in strict accordance with project timelines and safety protocols.
• Coordinate complex loading and unloading procedures, securing heavy equipment properly to prevent transit hazards.
• Maintain accurate documentation of logs and safety inspections to ensure complete regulatory compliance.
• Resolve real-time logistical challenges on-site and during transit to prevent project delays.
• Act as a reliable field representative for the company values of promptness, safety, and operational excellence.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Proven background and technical proficiency in operating end dump, side dump, or low boy configurations.
• Absolute willingness to travel 100% of working hours to various regional project assignments.
• Strong adherence to safety regulations and prompt time-management skills under minimal oversight.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• 3+ years of related commercial hauling experience within the civil and heavy construction industry.
• Active Tanker Endorsement or willingness to complete company-provided training for the endorsement.
• Demonstrated experience navigating complex construction site terrains and tight delivery zones.
